Measles cases are rising in London

Please make sure your child is up to date with their vaccinations and book an appointment at the surgery to catch up on missed doses. Two doses of the MMR vaccine can provide lifelong protection against measles.

Measles is more than just a rash. 1 in 5 children with measles will need hospital treatment. It can cause serious complications and in rare cases can be fatal.

If you are unsure if you or your child are up to date with your vaccinations, please contact the practice.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus.

The vaccine is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against coronavirus.

We have nominated our Trevelyan House site (160 Tooting High Street, London SW17 0RT) as a local vaccination hub and expect vaccinations to start there at the beginning of January.

We will let you know when it’s your turn to have the vaccine. It’s important not to contact the practice for a vaccination before then. We will post further information on our websites as dates are confirmed and contact you if you are in an eligible group.

At this time, the vaccine is being offered in some hospitals to:

  • some people aged 80 and over who already have a hospital appointment in the next few weeks
  • people who work in care homes
  • health care workers at high risk

Meanwhile, we must all continue to adhere to stick to the local tier restriction rules and remember hands, face, space.
